Why do the Popes ask us thus to turn our eyes towards Mary today ?
The answer is a simple one.
Mary is the one who gave us Christ at time of His first advent.
She is the one who brought up Jesus in Nazareth. Again it is through her that Jesus will grow within us….
She is the eternal bearer of Jesus, the spouse of the Holy Spirit and she is multiplying her “visitations” as we approach the year 2000 to pour out graces on us, as was done when she visited Elisabeth and John the Baptist.
Also today, through many apparitions, God is sending us Mary.
